  alaska hunting

Brown bear hunting is in the Spring and in the Fall. The Spring hunting season is in April and May. The Fall hunting season is in September and October. Spring brown bear hunts offer lush hides for beautiful trophies. The average brown bear taken is 8 to 8 1/2 feet squared and trophies as large as 10 feet have been taken in our area. Whether you hunt them in spring or fall, you can expect an exciting hunt.

Metal locking tags are required for brown bear hunting, and they should be purchased when you buy your hunting license. They are required by law and you must have them in your possession when you hunt these animals. Current license and tag fees are included on these pages.
